The DDG Academy aims to provide students and young professionals, no matter their race, gender, religion, age or socio-economic background, with an early-stage experience and education of the real estate and construction industry to give them bigger and more varied aspirations, provide them with opportunities and to increase diversity in the industry. The DDG Academy does this by delivering robust programmes for Work Experience and Training, Skills Building and Coaching, Mentorships, Apprenticeships, Career Pathways and Entry Qualification Support, Guidance and Access with an aim to secure future Scholarship Opportunities.

This youth arm of DDG Network Group establishes a youth support network for the real estate and construction industry whereby the students and young professionals can learn, grow and develop together whilst having the support and guidance of a wider and experienced network of like-minded professionals and companies throughout their education and well into the world of work. The DDG Academy Alumni having gone through our Academy Programme Cycle can then give back to and support their communities and the generation coming behind them with what they have learnt. Creating a never ending, unbroken chain of family-like support in the real estate and construction industry which they can tap into at any time for many years to come.

Action for Race Equality
DDG Academy have been invited to speak at the Action for Race Equality event on 17th July alongside FTSE100 companies such as Apple and Ernst & Young (EY) and organisations including Blitzworks and BYP Network.
The event is aimed at trying to increase the number of black men in the finance, technology and construction industries and this event is aimed at black males between the ages of 15-24.
The event will be taking place on 17th July 9am-2pm at EY Canary Wharf with networking opportunities with employers as well as CV writing, LinkedIn and presentation skills training.

DDG Academy and Croydon Supplementary Education Project (CSEP) have come together to provide a FREE immersive career experience for students in the Croydon area, to give them an insight into a career in the real estate and construction industry.

TWO DAYS packed full with experience and activities where you will have a taste of what a career in the real estate and construction industry could be like from the people who are living it now! This event is for students and young people who are curious about the real estate and construction industry and want to get an in-depth look into what having a career in this billion pound industry could look like!
DAY 1: Tuesday 30th May 2023 from 9:30am until 3:30pm. Arrive at 9:30am for registration. You will experience the various roles and some selected areas in the real estate and construction industry from some business owners and professionals who may have not had the easiest ride in their career journey, but still managed to keep going and achieving great things in their careers and in the industry. There will also be job skills support, CV writing, social and employment support companies in attendance to help start preparing you and give you the tools you need to be ready for future employment. At the end of day 1 you will have the opportunity to sign up for work experience and mentoring placements within some of the roles in real estate and construction!
DAY 2: Wednesday 31st May 2023 from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Minibus leaves at 9:00am so please arrive at least 15 minutes before (08:45am). You will get an EXCLUSIVE tour and inside look into one of the UK's most successful Design and Build companies based right here in Croydon as well as learn about the career of its CEO who has been honoured by the late Queen with an MBE! This award winning office & commercial Design and Build firm, MDC Group, designed Facebook's first London offices, as well as designing offices for Disney, MTV, KPMG, Skype, Google, Boeing, NHS, Harley Davidson, Adobe +more.
